Hi! I’m Sara the Yogi Momma and I’m so glad you found me. I started this blog as a place for me to share the three things I’m most passionate about - family, fitness and food! We reside in Chattanooga, TN. I am a Health Coach, Registered Nurse, 500 Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher, momma to an eleven-year-old boy named Hawkins, wife to Robert, and longevity seeker. I’m so glad to have you on this journey with us.
Why Health Coaching? I have been passionate about health and fitness almost my entire life. I went to college to become a Registered Nurse so I could help people, but I was quickly disheartened when I found many patients weren’t willing to make the changes necessary to improve their quality of life, and most wanted a “magic pill” to help them get better. After being a nurse for several years I decided to take different route and became a yoga teacher. I thought if I could help people before they get “sick” I would find more joy in my career. I found so much joy in teaching yoga and owing a yoga studio. I still love teaching yoga today, over 20 years later. When I sold Southern Soul Yoga during the pandemic I decided to further my knowledge and become a health coach. I wanted to merge my love of health, wellness and yoga together to help people on and off the mat.
Today, I help clients with fitness goals, weight loss, macro counting, supplements, menopause and more! You can also catch me Tuesdays @9am teaching at Southern Soul Yoga. Feel free to contact me at sara@theyogimomma.com
